  1. Does anybody here know the maker or name of the pullover that Mr. Brady Nichols is wearing in the above photo.

It looks very substantial and absolutely what I would want for a couple weeks out in the wild.

Thanks for any help or suggestions on what it may be.

  2. Any idea of the make of jacket that Mr Nichols is wearing in the picture above?

Or do you know where I could find a complete gear list for the competitors?

The pullover looks super substantial and I would love to check one out in person.

  3. I know you are allowed 550 cord as one of your items. Would Titan Survivorcord be allowed? The inner strands have a bunch of different uses (fishing line, tinder, snare wire, and 7 standard inner strands). It would be a life saver with so many uses from a single item.

    1. The Titan survival cord is good stuff. I’m fairly sure they would reject it though as it includes assets that overlap with other items on the list. They are very skilled at eliminating all the little mods people do to include survival resources like paracord bootlaces, ferro rod cord toggles, compass zipper pulls etc. All of those things are great ideas but are frowned upon for the purpose of the show.

      1. Britt (seasons 3 / 5) ? brought Titan Survivorcord. At least that’s what he showed on his gear list interview. Maybe the Producers caught it and made him change. Something good to know. Maybe others try to scam the game, who knows.
I’d hope they would do a very thorough check of gear, because of the potential for less than creditable thoughts for 1/2 million. Anything can be sewed into boot heels, Jackets, etc. Even shoelaces can have firecord slid into them.

    1. I’m not sure what the rule is currently but on Season 2 we were allowed to exchange one item of gear for one emergency ration. I chose 5 lbs of pemmican and came home with 2 and 1/6 lbs of it.

  4. My question is regarding the timing of the medical welfare checks. Seasons that I have watched has had contestants pulled due to medical reasons ascertained by medical professionals. I has always wondered if the exams are done on the same day for all contestants.
If not when someone is pulled out on day ex. 56 and another hangs on until their med checkup the day after, how is it fair that they win? They could have been pulled day 56 had it been their day for assessment.

    1. Sorry for somehow missing this comment until now. I’m pretty sure they do the med checks for everyone on the same day. They know who is getting close and who has a little more gas in the tank. I can’t say for sure but I’m fairly positive it is the MD that makes the final call.

  5. I see you don’t monetize davemcintyrewilderness.org, don’t waste your traffic, you can earn additional cash
every month with new monetization method. This is the best adsense alternative for any
type of website (they approve all sites), for more details simply search in gooogle: murgrabia’s

  6. Now Alone Season 6 cast member Ray Livingston got a tarp? It was not on his list of 10 items. Is there so sort of TARPS- R- US story near Slave?

    1. Everyone gets a tarp from production. That has been mentioned in previous seasons and it has been that way since the beginning. Some elect to take a second tarp as part of their ten items. If you watch the “Making the Cut” episode from Season 2 they go over the gear each contestant is provided: communications, GPS tracker, first aid kit, flares and emergency signals, bear spray, life jacket, a tarp, etc. Those things can’t be repurposed for other uses and are there to keep you from dying if it all goes south. If you were to use a flare to light your fire it would be like tapping out. If you need to spray a bear that wouldn’t be a tap out but you’d have to call on the sat phone and let them know, as with any serious injuries.

On Season 2 I carried my YellowBrick GPS transponder, a strobe light, small airhorn, and a torniquete in my rain jacket at all times. I should have also worn the inflatable PFD when out fishing but never did.

      1. Is one permitted to use the headlamp from the “safety gear list” (for non-emergency purposes)?

Also, I’ve not yet seen anyone use the large carcasses they’ve stumbled across to make tools? Is use of animal bones forbidden (if you didn’t kill it yourself)?

        1. They don’t restrict the use of the headlamp because there is no way to do it. I used mine all the time. There is no rule against using bones to make tools. I don’t think people bother because they already have steel versions of the things you would make from bone.

  7. How did Alone Season 6 cast member Woniya Thibeault magically get a tarp? It was not on her list of 10 items.

    1. I answered this more fully on your other comment. Production has always provided each cast member with a tarp on every season.

  8. Thanks Erica & Dave for the gear lists. I can’t wait to watch season 6. I went to the biographies, like this one for Tim Backus, and it looks like the competitors have great backgrounds for their challenges. Based on the bios & gear list I put Wohlberg, Dust, Backus & Jonas in my “top 4”; but I got to shout-out “Go Ducks” to Livingston. https://www.history.com/shows/alone/cast/tim-backus
